New Year’s Eve Dining Specials Available Throughout Talking Stick Resort
SALT RIVER PIMA-MARICOPA INDIAN COMMUNITY, Ariz. (Dec. 21, 2016) – Talking Stick Resort will be the perfect venue for closing out a terrific 2016 and beginning a new year. The property’s six dining destinations will all be open, as will the Salt River Ballroom, and will all feature special menus on New Year’s Eve. The nationally recognized Wandering Horse Buffet will serve a special New Year’s Day brunch in addition to its New Year’s Eve offering. Guests can leave 2016 behind with full stomachs for as little as $17.
Talking Stick Resort’s signature restaurant will serve a four-course prix fixe meal from 5 to 11 p.m. For starters, enjoy the Petite Kobe Short Rib, the Creamy Lobster Risotto, the Foie Gras Terrine or the King Crab. The second course is a choice of Shaved Fennel and White Asparagus, Local Field Lettuces or a Candied Beet Salad. The main course is Seared Diver Scallops, Grilled Swordfish, Elk Strip Loin, Beef Tournedos or Colorado Lamb Chop. Finish off the five-star meal with Caramel Panna Cotta, Wildflower Honey-Soaked Genoise, Chocolate Brioche Stout Cake or Meyer Lemon Angel Food Cake. Prix fixe: $130.
Anytime from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. on New Year’s Eve, stop by the resort’s 19-seat seafood bar for a delicious meal. Start with a Half Romaine Salad with blue cheese dressing, bacon, tomatoes and green onions, followed by a Maine Lobster with brandy cream sauce and asparagus and shitake mushroom risotto. Dessert is a Frozen Grand Marnier Souffle. Prix fixe: $47.
Salt River Ballroom
Those who purchase tickets to Talking Stick Resort’s Vegas-style NYE3 New Year’s Eve Party will feast upon a delectable buffet at the Salt River Ballroom at 7 p.m. The spread includes a domestic cheese display, assorted satays, crab cakes, Seafood Paella, Butternut Squash Ravioli, Herb Roasted Prime Rib, Chile Roasted Salmon and much more. Wandering Horse Buffet
Enjoy a New Year’s Eve buffet at Wandering Horse from 4:30 to 10:30 p.m. Among the offerings will be Slow-Roasted Prime Rib, Roasted Lamb Rack, Butter-Basted Turkey, Grilled Atlantic Salmon, King Crab Legs, Little Neck Clams and more. Adults: $64.95, with champagne toast included; Children: $22.
Wandering Horse will also serve a delicious New Year’s Day brunch from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The spread will include Eggs Benedict, omelets made to order, Raspberry White Chocolate Pancakes, Amaretto Toasted Almond French Toast, Apple Cranberry Belgian Waffles, Turkey Wellington, Grilled Grouper, Cranberry Pecan Crusted Salmon, King Crab Legs, Chilled Littleneck Clams and more. From 5 to 11 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, enjoy a soup or salad at Blue Coyote Café, followed by the Osso Bucco Short Rib with whipped Yukon gold potatoes and heirloom baby carrots. Dessert is a Cherry Jubilee with vanilla ice cream and an orange snap cookie. Prix fixe: $25.95.
Blue Coyote Cantina
Blue Coyote Cantina will offer its own New Year’s Eve special with a Southwestern twist. Open all night on Dec. 31, it will offer a delicious holiday meal starting with a seared eight-ounce rib eye with green chili rice, sautéed asparagus and Mexican chimichurri, followed by Flan with fresh berries. The Arena Poker Room
Players need not miss any of the table action on New Year’s Eve as The Arena Poker Room will serve a special New Year’s Eve menu from 5 p.m. till midnight. For starters, enjoy an Iceberg Salad, then the Prime Rib Au Jus with au gratin potatoes and corn on the cob. Dessert will be the Butterscotch Rice Pudding with raisins, almonds and pistachios.
