Updated statement in relation to reopening of Talking Stick Resort
Repairs continue at Talking Stick Resort following a series of storms that resulted in a power outage at the property. Specifically, the backup power generating equipment, administrative offices, meeting space and cafe on the property’s lower level are being restored. Upper levels of the resort, which include the casino floor, poker room, concert venues and restaurants, were not damaged by the storms. Nearly 300 employees and personnel from outside agencies have been working around the clock to make the necessary repairs.
Most severely impacted were both the hotel’s and casino’s power distribution sources. Engineered for Talking Stick Resort to accommodate its unique needs for power, these units are the points of contact from the resort to nearby transformers. Damage has prevented us from restoring power to the property and resulted in a longer than expected closure.
As these efforts continue, Talking Stick Resort is communicating directly with impacted hotel and casino guests, and employees. We appreciate the ongoing patience and support we have received and apologize for the disruption guests and employees have experienced. We are pleased to announce Talking Stick Golf Club has reopened its south course and Wildhorse Grille. While we are unable to provide a reopening date for the resort at this time, we are diligently working to restore operations to the highest level of excellence and look forward to welcoming back our guests and employees as soon as possible. Please continue to visit our website, www.talkingstickresort.com, and we will provide updates as they are available.
